Flos Lonicerae Jin Yin Hua 6-20g Clears Heat and resolves Fire toxicity.
With Huang Qin, for suppurating boils that have not ulcerated, or have ulcerated but are not discharging pus.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 3-18g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire and detoxifies.
Rx. Isatidis Ban Lan Gen 9-30g Drains Heat and relieves Fire toxicity.
Rz. Polygoni Cuspidati Hu Zhang 8-30g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, resolves Dampness, discharges toxins and disperses swelling.
Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 7-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin, drains Fire and relieves toxicity.
With Mu Dan Pi, for erysipelas and purplish rashes.
With Sheng Di Huang, for Excess or Deficiency Heat patterns.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood Nourishes Yin, and generates fluids.
With Mu Dan Pi, for residual warm pathogen which has injured the Yin.
With Xuan Shen, for Kidney Yin Deficiency with Fire Blazing.
With Mu Dan Pi and Chi Shao, for purpura or bleeding with maculae and blotches on the skin.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 6-12g Clears Heat, invigorates, cools and harmonizes the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, drains pus and reduces swelling.
With Bai Mao Gen, for hematuria, hematemesis, and epistaxis due to Warm Febrile Disease.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao   Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, cools the Blood, reduces swelling from sores and abscesses and relieves pain.
With Mu Dan Pi, cools the Blood and disperses Stasis, for Ying Stage Heat with epistaxis, hemoptysis, hemafecia, hematuria, menorrhagia and skin rashes.
